Trash Talk - where do our offcuts go?

Trash Talk - where do our offcuts go?

Since 2019, we've been donating 100% of our cotton off cuts from our Indian supply chain to local community initiatives managed by Indian charity, Goonj. Goonj are AWESOME! They’ve been operating in India for over two decades, and re-use and recycle urban surplus (3500 tonnes of cotton offcuts a year!) to address core community issues like water, sanitation, health, livelihood, and education. Our cotton offcuts are used to create cotton pads, providing a clean, essential solution that has saved women from infections, and a loss of dignity. Other fabric offcuts are used to create products like backpacks and purses for...

Kip&Co x JUMBLED

We are SO thrilled to launch our Kip&Co x JUMBLED collaboration! A limited edition tableware edit, just in time for some summer entertaining, that features the MOST incredible, original floral artwork by the very talented Kezz Brett.   First, a quick intro to JUMBLED for anyone who has missed that bright happy rainbow memo. JUMBLED is, hands down, one of the best interiors stores in Australia (and has been with us since our VERY first range back in 2012) - but it’s SO much more than a shop. Driven by the pocket rocket powerhouse Pip, and her amazing team,...

Rental as anything : 5 ways to do a mini-makeover on your rental

Rental as anything : 5 ways to do a mini-makeover on your rental

  1. Start by decluttering. You don’t have to go all Marie Kondo, but a thorough cleanse of your belongings can be a beautiful therapeutic thing…and, it’s free!   2. Upgrade your lighting. Good lighting is probably the most transformative thing you can do in any house. There’s actually a lot you can do as a renter - simple things like getting better and brighter globes can do wonders, but consider switching out old lighting fixtures (make sure you keep them for when the rental period ends) with something fresh.   3. Wall to wall. Check first, but loads of...

Lemon Cheesecake Smoothie Bowl

Lemon Cheesecake Smoothie Bowl

We didn’t think Nutra Organic's Lemon Lime Collagen Beauty could get any better, but this recipe really takes the cheesecake. Their Lemon Cheesecake Smoothie Bowl has all the flavour of our favourite cheesecake, without the dairy, bringing the perfect balance of tangy and sweet, with their zesty Lemon Lime Collagen Beauty, and a moreish lemon maple caramel. If you’re looking for a way to brighten even the dreariest of mornings, this bowl of sunshine is it.   Ingredients 2 frozen bananas 1 cup coconut yoghurt, plus extra for serving 1 tsp buckwheat kernels 1/2 lemon, juiced 1/2 tsp vanilla...

Interiors Mecca: Designing the Espy

Interiors Mecca: Designing the Espy

As you may have caught on, Heartland was shot at one of our favourite local pubs, the Espy in St Kilda. While we had a soft spot for its sticky carpet days, it’s recent transformation took. our. breath. away. Enter, our latest and greatest girl crush Eleisha Gray. This woman took on the two restaurant, twelve bar, five floor interior design job like nobodies' business. She is one of those rare gems that has a truly unique style - she doesn’t follow trends, she damn well starts them. Plus, she is a bloody lovely human. And we all need a...

Expert tips on transitioning from crib to ‘big’ bed

Expert tips on transitioning from crib to ‘big’ bed

Sleep is a funny thing. For us, it's something we LOVE and high fives are furnished on whomever has clocked up the most hours of sleep the night before a big work day. But the wee ones in our lives seem to have a much more complex relationship with sleep, often battling against it (why baby, why?! it’s so good!). One of the big milestones in the world of snoozing is, of course, the transition from cot to big girl / boy bed. But it’s a decision that should not be taken lightly, as the wonderful Sleep Teacher Kristy (a...
